🎉 Felix Fund Six Months In – A Moment to Reflect and Celebrate 🎉

As I mark six months as the permanent volunteer Chair of Trustees for Felix Fund – the bomb disposal charity, I’m filled with immense pride and gratitude for what we’ve achieved together. Moving to a volunteer model, always carried an element of risk, but it has paid off, and we are on track for one of our highest 12 months of fundraising ever.

From the front line of bomb disposal to the quiet resilience of our veterans and families, Felix Fund continues to stand shoulder to shoulder with the EOD & Search community.

💥 Fundraising Highlights
• The Holdfast Challenge 2025 brought together both serving personnel and veterans in an amazing day of fundraising and camaraderie. Huge thanks Robert Hinton and James Williams for your support and time
• Sponsorship for the 1st ever advanced dashboard course by the The Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers
• Sporting challenges by Darren Massey and Richard Howard, CFA
• ECM challenge coins, with some incredible bids via our new eBay shop

Across our 3 key strands we have delivered vital outcomes:

🏥 Health and Wellbeing
• We’ve launched a new two-tier Dashboard structure: a 3-day foundational course and a 3-day advanced follow-up
• Feedback shows up to 64% improvement in mental health for service personnel and 40% for spouses and partners
• Our campaign to raise awareness of bladder cancer has seen MoD assemble an expert panel to look at the issue

💰 Financial Support
• From front line bomb disposal units to our veterans and families we continue to make grants that make a difference

🕯️Remembrance and Memorial
• Work on the history of operators during Op GRANBY is well underway
• Felix Fund attendance at EOD Warrior Foundation memorial weekend
• Our racing partners Michael Woodhouse & Billy Wood are helping to spread the message to a new audience

🔮 Looking Ahead we have our pre DSEI networking event, Felix Connect, 8th Sep 25, kindly sponsored by Scanna MSC & Rapid Fusion. Some exciting additions to our mental resilience training and for 2026, our flagship Gala dinner, Felix Feast 2026. This event on the 12th May 26 is not only to raise funds but also celebrate our 15th anniversary.
