The Long Walk 2025 edition needs your stories.
In the third anthology of stories from EOD and Search veterans, we encourage you to tell us your story – as you saw it, as it happened to you – so that these experiences can be shared with other searchers and operators from across the decades, and with your friends and families.
Our editor, Jane, is also very happy to work with first-time writers to help bring your reminiscences to the printed page. It doesn’t have to be polished prose; don’t worry about spelling and grammar or anything else because it can all be sorted out afterwards. Just bring the desire to tell your story. If you are interested in contributing The Long Walk there is still time.
Please send contributions – memories, anecdotes, poetry – of any length (although probably no more than 5,000 words) to [email protected] by end October 2025.
We will return any original materials offered to us, but clearly labelled high quality JPEGs to the same email address would be preferred.
Tell us your stories, anonymously or otherwise, we are keen to put them to paper.
